Downloading the update

1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.

To prepare for installation of the drivers

Set your operating system display settings to use the Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA) driver.

Installing the update

1. Click Start, select Find, then click Files and folders.
2. Type e73z29us.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the e73z29us.exe file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the icon for e73z29us.exe. Read the license agreement.
4. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
5. Click Next.
6. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\E73Z29US.
7. Click Next. The files will be installed and the nVidia Windows 95/98 display drivers installation program will start automatically.
8. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the install.

Testing for successful installation

1. Make sure that your system is shut down and restarted before you continue.
2. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click the Display icon.
4. Click the Settings tab, then click Advanced.
5. Click the Adapter tab.
6. Verify that the software driver version is 4.12.01.0758.

Backlevel versions
