The following files are the drivers and readme files for the Accton ethernet adapter preloaded in certain models of the IBM NetVista, PC300, and Aptiva systems. These drivers are for the Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP operating systems.
Additional information
These files are distributed in self-extracting .exe format.
NOTE: This file will automatically extract to your hard drive when executed. It will only extract under 32-bit Microsoft operating systems (Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP). The extraction process will NOT work with any other operating systems.
Downloading the update
Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.
Extracting the update
Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and folders.
Type qn6z07us.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the qn6z07us.exe file you just downloaded.
Double-click the qn6z07us.exe icon.
Click Next. Read the license agreement.
Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
Click Next. Ensure that Save files in folder is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\Drivers\QN6Z07US.
Click Next.
Click Finish.
Installing the update
Once the drivers have been extracted, detailed installation notes are provided in the specific operating system folder as indicated below.
Specific installation notes for the Microsoft Windows 95 operating systems are provided in the file C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\QN6Z07US\WIN95\WIN95.TXT. Specific installation notes for the Microsoft Windows 95 OSR2 operating systems are provided in the file C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\QN6Z07US\WIN95SR2\WIN95.TXT. Specific installation notes for the Microsoft Windows 98 operating systems are provided in the file C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\QN6Z07US\WIN98\WIN98.TXT. Specific installation notes for the Microsoft Windows Me operating systems are provided in the file C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\QN6Z07US\WINME\WINME.TXT. Specific installation notes for the Microsoft Windows NT operating systems are provided in the file C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\QN6Z07US\WINNT\WINNT.TXT.
