This package contains an update to the device driver for the Rapid Access III Keyboard that comes with your IBM computer. This update requires approximately 45MB of space on your hard disk (drive C).
This update package is intended for IBM NetVista systems that come with a Rapid Access III keyboard and have the Microsoft Windows 98SE, 2000, or XP operating system preinstalled.

When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.
Installing the update
For Windows 98SE
Uninstall any existing version of RAK keyboard installed on your system.
Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
Select the IBM Rapid Access III keyboard.
Click Add/Remove.
Click Yes.
When the uninstall has completed, select Restart my computer now, then click Finish.
Click Start, select Find, then click Files or Folders.
Type ge0z24us.exe in the search field, then clickFind Now. This will locate the ge0z24us.exe file you just downloaded.
Double-click the ge0z24us.exe icon .
Click Next. Read the license agreement.
ClickI accept the terms in the license agreement.
Click Next.
Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\GE0Z24US.
Click Next.
Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation.
Shutdown and restart your system when the installation is complete.
For Windows 2000
If you are using Windows 2000, make sure you log in as Administrator. If not, skip to the next step.
Uninstall any existing version of RAK keyboard installed on your system.
Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
Select the IBM Rapid Access III keyboard.
Click Change/Remove.
Click Yes.
When the uninstall has completed, select Restart my computer now, then click Finish.
When the system restarts, make sure you log in as Administrator.
Click Start, select Search, then click For files or folders.
Type ge0z24us.exe in the search field, then click Search Now. This will locate the ge0z24us.exe file you just downloaded.
Double-click the ge0z24us.exe icon.
Click Next. Read the license agreement.
Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
Click Next.
Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\GE0Z24US.
ClickNext.

For Windows XP
NOTE: If using Microsoft Windows XP, ensure the account you are logged in with has computer administrator access. This is usually the first account listed on the login screen.
