Installation instructions

NOTE: These instructions are for United States (English). For other applicable countries, use the filename you downloaded instead of the one listed below.

  1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click the aibmx41us.exe file link above to download the file from the Web page.
  3. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.
  4. After the file download has completed, click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and folders.
  5. Type aibmx41us.exe in the search box, then click Search or Find Now. This will locate the aibmx41us.exe file you just
  6. Double-click the aibmx41us.exe icon. An Access IBM window will appear that will extract the Access IBM installation package to the c:\drivers\aibm_pkg\ by default.
  7. Click Yes. The Access IBM InstallShield Wizard screen will appear.
  8. Click Next to begin the extraction process and then follow the onscreen prompts.
  9. Once the files are extracted, click Start, then click Run.
  10. In the Open field, type C:\drivers\aibm_pkg\setup.exe, then click OK. An Access IBM - installShield Wizard screen appears.
    If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Click I accept the terms of the license agreement radio button, then click Next to start the installation process.
  13. Click Finish.

Uninstall instructions

  1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, select Settings, and click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
  4. Select Access IBM.
  5. Click the Remove button. This will uninstall the program.
  6. Restart the system.
