This is a fix for a 5 minute delay, experienced after a boot/reboot, before the Ink Transfer ICON is seen in the System Tray (lower right area on task bar) for systems with Microsoft Windows XP. During this 5 minute delay, the user may have noticed slowsystem performance; this patch also fixes this performance issue.
The following models are supported:

NOTE: This Ink Manager Pro 1.01 patch is meant for users of Windows XP only. Other Microsoft Windows users (Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000) do not need this patch.

II. Installation instructions
Download the appropriate patch program to a clean sub-directory:
English language installer: IBMInkManagerProUpdate_EN.exe
Japanese language installer: IBMInkManagerProUpdate_JP.exe
Wait at least 5 minutes after a boot/reboot, or until the Ink Transfer ICON is seen in the System Tray (lower right area on task bar).
Select Start, point to Run and select the Browse button. Navigate to the sub-directory where the patch program was downloaded to. Select this, patch program and select the Open button. Back at the Run titled window, select OK.
Follow the patch program instructions, and reboot after the patch program is finished.
III. Determining which version is installed
This patch program is only for IBM TransNotes with Windows XP installed.
If the Ink Transfer ICON, appears promptly after a boot/reboot in the Windows XP System Tray, this patch program may already be installed. The files:
tsproto.exe will be dated after August 2001, and also be at least version 22.214.171.124, if this patch program is already installed.
