The Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)

What is BSOD?

The Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) is a windows error message generated to halt the system. BSOD can be caused by a software conflict, incorrect driver loaded or even Hardware failure. Here are some common troubleshooting steps and helpful links:

1. Intermittent BSOD messages may be resolved by running System Update and Windows Update

2. "0x1000007E"

A problem was encountered with a specific driver, such as turbo memory.

System experiences an intermittent blue-screen (BSOD), with a stop code of 0x1000007E - ThinkPad

3. "0x0000007B"

The system has lost access to the Hard Drive's boot partition during the startup process. This is normally caused by a wrong device driver loading, software corruption or an incorrect storage controller setting.

4. "NMI Parity Error"

This error can caused by a hardware error or an incompatible driver loaded.
