On an encrypted ThinkPad Tablet, OTA 2 / OTA 2.5 wants to install again, the user is prompted to update their ThinkPad Tablet
again with the same OTA update. The user receives the update prompt after every restart.

The above symptom may occur on the following systems:

• ThinkPad Tablet (Machine types: 1838, 1839)

The user should follow the instructions below:

1. Power off the ThinkPad Tablet.
2. Boot to recovery mode:
   • Power on the ThinkPad Tablet.
   • When the ThinkPad Tablet vibrates, begin tapping the volume up button (press, release, press, release, etc.).
   • In about 1-2 seconds, the message "Booting Recovery Console" will appear. User can stop tapping the volume up button.
3. Select "Wipe cache partition".
4. Reboot the system.
