Installation Instructions

Notes:

  • If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.
Manual Install

This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.

[Downloading file]

  1. Click once on the underlined file name. Once this is done, some pop-up windows will appear.
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  3. In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save.
  4. Choose the folder you would like to download the file to and click the Save button. A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully.

[Extracting file]

  1. Make sure to be logged on with administrative account.
  2. Locate the folder where the file was downloaded.
  3. Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click it.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  5. In the "Select Destination Location" window, click Next. If you would like to select a different folder, click Browse.
  6. In the "Ready to Install" window, click Install. All the necessary files will be extracted to the folder selected in the step 9.

[Installing files]

  1. Make sure the checkbox next to "Install ..... now" is checked and click Finish.
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation and restart the computer.

Finally delete the file saved in Step 4.

[Install NVIDIA or Intel Software Separately]

This section assumes to use Windows Explorer.

  1. Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and extract the file.
  2. In the step 11 of the Installing files section, uncheck the checkbox next to "Install ..... now", and then select Finish to cancel installation.
  3. Locate the folder where the files were extracted selected in the step 9 of the Installing files section.
  4. For NVIDIA software, locate the NVIDIA folder. For Intel software, locate the Intel folder.
  5. Double-click/double-tap the SETUP.EXE file.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation and restart the computer. If "Hardware installation" or "Software installation" window appears, select Continue Anyway.
Silent Install

This is for system administrators' use only.

    Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and extract the file.
  1. In the step 11 of the Installing files section, uncheck the checkbox next to "Install ..... now", and then select Finish to cancel installation.
  2. At the command line, execute setup.bat with the -s option.
    Example: [Path where the files were extracted]\setup.bat -s

Uninstallation Instructions

Note:

  • Follow this order to uninstall both NVIDIA and Intel software. If Intel software is uninstalled first, the screen will become blank in the middle of the uninstallation of Intel software and be blank until the next restart.
  • The utilities should be removed as well if they were installed with the Intel software.
Manual Uninstall
  1. Uninstall NVIDIA software.Refer to the Uninstalling NVIDIA Software section.
  2. Uninstall Intel software. Refer to the Uninstalling Intel Software section.
  3. Restart the computer.

[Uninstalling NVIDIA Software]

  1. Start Windows and logon with an administrator account.
  2. Select Start, then select Control Panel.
  3. Make sure "View by Category" is selected, and select Uninstall a program.
  4. Select NVIDIA Drivers, and select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete uninstallation.

[Uninstalling Intel Software]

  1. Start Windows and logon with an administrator account.
  2. Select Start, then select Control Panel.
  3. Make sure "View by Category" is selected, and select Uninstall a program.
  4. Select Intel(R) HD Graphics Driver, and select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete uninstallation.
Determining which version is installed
  1. Select Start.
  2. Right-click/Press and hold Computer, and then select Properties.
  3. At the left pane, select Device Manager.
  4. Double-click/Double-tap the Display adapters category.

[NVIDIA Graphics Driver]

  1.  Double-click/Double-tap either of the following devices.
    NVIDIA GT 730M
    NVIDIA GT 720M
    NVIDIA Quadro K2100M
    NVIDIA Quadro K1100M
  2. Select the Driver tab.
  3. Check Driver Version.
  4. Select Cancel.

[Intel Graphics Driver]

  1. Double-click/Double-tap either of the following devices.
    Intel(R) HD Graphics
    Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
    Intel(R) HD Graphics 5000
  2. Select the Driver tab.
  3. Check Driver Version.
