This package updates your WinDVD 8.0 software to WinDVD 10 equivalent level. 

This update requires approximately 185MB of space on your hard disk.  

WinDVD 8.8 is only provided for Lenovo systems that have a previous Lenovo version of WinDVD 8.

1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.

1. Remove any versions of WinDVD other than 8.xx.
2. Ensure that a Lenovo version of WinDVD 8.xx is present.

[Windows 7 and Windows Vista]

1. Click Start, then click Start Search.
2. Type windvdbd88171u-a.exe in the "Downloading the update" section in the search field, then click Search Everywhere. This will locate the file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the windvdbd88171u-a.exe file icon. You may see a dialog stating "A program needs your permission to continue". If you see this dialog, click Continue.
4. Follow all onscreen prompts and reboot your system when done.

[Windows XP]

1. Click Start, click Search, then click All files and folders.
2. Type windvdbd88171u-a.exe in the "Downloading the update" section in the search field, then click Search. This will locate the file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the EXE file icon.
4. Follow all onscreen prompts and reboot your system when done.

1. Execute the command windvdbd88171u-a.exe /s /a /s /f1“.\setup.iss”
2. Reboot

Silent installation requires a previous version to exist, and that version wil be removed.
