It updates the Intel(R) Management Engine's firmware of the local machine. This package is for use with systems that are AMT capable.

Downloading the package
  1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
  2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.
Supported systems

This update applies to the following Lenovo systems:

  • ThinkCentre M58 (type 6139, 6175, 6239, 6258, 6302, 6303, 7174, 7187, 7244, 7354, 7347, 7348, 7355, 7356, 7359, 7360, 7373, 7626, 7627, 7629, 7637, 7638, 7639, 8820, 8910, 9960)
  • ThinkCentre M58p (type 6136, 6137, 6138, 6209, 6234, 7220, 7188, 7345, 7346, 7357, 7358, 7483, 7484, 7479, 7628, 7630, 7635, 8336, 8338, 9961, 9964, 9965)
New in this release

This update is a security update for Intel AMT.

Before using this tool
  1. If you updated the AMT firmware, you can NOT downgrade to the previous version.
  2. Make sure the Management Engine Interface Driver is installed on the system.
  3. During the update process, do NOT allow your system to power off.
  4. This tool supports Windows XP SP2, x64, PE, Vista.
  5. If you use LANDesk Management Suit to manage your AMT clients, strongly recommend you install the patch CR20525-88 on your server, you can get this patch from: http://community.landesk.com/downloads/ServicePack/LD-88-AMT-CR20525-88.zip LDMS SP3 will also be included in this patch.
Updating the firmware
  1. Run fw3.2.3.1037.exe in Windows.
  2. In Vista, if the "User Account Control" window appears, please select "Allow". The update will take several minutes to complete.
  3. After the update is complete, turn the shut down the system and disconnect the power cord for at least 15 seconds.
