SimpleTap Deskband is not pinned to Taskbar after Out Of Box Experience - ThinkCentre, ThinkStation, ThinkServer, ThinkPad
Symptom

When the user powers on their system for the first time and boots to the desktop on a Microsoft Windows 7 system, occasionally the SimpleTap Deskband is not pinned to the TaskBar.

Affected configurations

The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:

  • All ThinkCentre
  • All ThinkStation
  • All ThinkServer
  • All ThinkPad

Applies To:

  • Microsoft Windows 7

Solution

None.

Workaround

The user can manually reenable if SimpleTap is installed.  The user can Right Click on the Taskbar and then enable the SimpleTap option under Toolbars.
