SYMPTOM:

On IdeaPad Y460, when trying to output to TV with HDMI port, only image but no sound output.

AFFECTED CONFIGURATIONS:

The above symptom may occur on the following system:

IdeaPad Y460, Y560

SOLUTION:

Download the new sound driver from the following web link:

/en_US/downloads/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=2619

Note:

Before installing the new version of Realteck audio drivers, please make sure to remove the two previous audio drivers shown in Fig.1. Otherwise, installation may be not successful.

If problem still remains, go to check whether HDMI is settled as the default output according to the following steps:

1. Right click on the speaker icon on the system tray à click "Playback Device"

2. Under the "Playback" tab, right click on "Realtek HDMI Output" à check the "Set as default device" option.
