STATEMENT DESCRIPTION

Under Windows , the light for Num Lock is off, but under BIOS , it is on.

AFFECTED CONFIGURATIONS:

The above symptom may occur on the following systems:

All Idea Laptops

All Idea Desktops

SOLution:

1. Go to "Start" --> "Run" --> input "Regedit", and then find " HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\ControlPanel\Keyboard " option in the left pane. Find " InitialKeyboardIndicators " in the right pane , and change the value to " 2" . Exit "Regedit", and then restart your computer. The light for Num Lock will be on.

2. Start the computer under windows, and turn on the Num Lock while inputting in the password, and click the "Restart" option in the lower right corner. Then the problem should be resolved and next time you start the computer, the Num Lock will turn on automatically.
