Symptom
IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore will check to see if prior versions of IBM Rapid Restore Ultra are installed. However, If IBM Rescue and Recovery is installed, it will not prevent installation of prior versions of Rapid Restore. If a prior version of Rapid Restore is installed, then some Rapid Restore features will not function.

Affected configurations
IBM systems supported by IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore, running Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP, configured with IBM Rapid Restore Ultra

Solution

1. Uninstall prior versions of IBM Rapid Restore Ultra.
2. Uninstall IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore.
3. Reinstall IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore.
