No sound when playing audio file with Windows Media Player 11 - Notebooks
When you use Microsoft Windows Media Player 11 to play certain kinds of AVI files, you only can see video. You cannot hear any sound.
Any notebook system running Windows Vista.
If you get a codec error when playing an audio file, you can click the Web Help button in the error message window, download the "DSP Group TrueSpeech" plug-in. Click Download plug-ins from the "Now Playing" menu.
This is a limitation of Windows Vista. The "DSP Group TrueSpeech" Codec for audio files is removed from Windows Vista by design.
