Network connection is not working if Access Connection is used to set DNS information - ThinkPad General
Symptom When a wired (Ethernet or Token Ring), network profile is created with Access Connections v2.60, the user may be unable to connect to a LAN or the Internet.
Affected configurations Any model ThinkPad system using Access Connections v2.60
Additional information The problem only occurs if the Advanced DNS settings are specified in the profile (see figure 1). These steps are not required for wireless connections.
If the option of using the current Advanced DNS settings is selected the problem does not occur.
The problem also only occurs with wired network adapters. It does not occur if a profile is setup for a wireless network adapter.
