IBM Rescue and Recovery™ with Rapid Restore™ - A Blue screen error is generated when starting Windows after restoring to a large (greater then 137GB) hard disk drive

Symptom
If the computer originally had a hard disk drive less then 137GB and had not installed large drive support from Microsoft, the computer will display a blue screen error after restoring to a hard disk drive that is greater then 137GB.

Affected configuration
IBM systems supported by IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore, running Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP, configured with IBM Rapid Restore Ultra

Solution
You will need to acquire a smaller drive and apply the patch provided by Microsoft.

After applying the patch, create another Rapid Restore backup then reinsert your new (large) hard disk drive and restore from the backup.
