Direct 3D (D3D) software development kit (SDK) applications may appear jerky or run slow if running at full screen when moved or opened to the primary monitor after changing the display device.

How to recreate the problem:

1. Enable DVI monitor and then set Primary Device as Digital.
2. Click the link below to view the Display Properties window.
3. Click the Settings tab.
4. Click the Advanced button, then click the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver tab.
5. Click Graphics Properties, click Device, and then select click Extended Desktop.
6. Set primary device as Digital Display and then click the Apply button.
7. Change the primary device as Monitor.
8. Run one of the applications such as "BumpSelfShadow".
9. Press F2 on the keyboard, then click Display Adapter, click Primary Display
   (Intel(R)82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset), then click Full screen. The application may run very slowly on the primary monitor.

Any of the following systems running Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack configured with DDC monitors and an Optional Advanced Digital Display 2 video adapter:

• ThinkCentre A51p (type 8420, 8421, 8422, 8423, 8426)
• ThinkCentre M51 (type 8141, 8142, 8143 8144, 8145, 8146)
• ThinkCentre S51 (type 8171, 8172, 8173)

This is a limitation of the application, no hardware should be replaced. If you use D3D SDK applications, then set up dual monitor support and have the displays configured as side by side or top/bottom view, then select to view full screen on the primary monitor, the application appears as a constant jerking or jittering motion.
