Converting NTFS to FAT32 and installing Rapid Restore Ultra (RRU) product
Symptom

The preload for Microsoft Windows 2000, XP Professional and Home will convert the default partition from Fat32 to a NTFS partition. When using any partitioning utility to convert the NTFS partition back to Fat32, then installing Rapid Restore Ultra(RRU) the following message may be seen:

Extended Information: Phase 1, Type 1, Code 65530
Operation: Resizing prior partition
Partition Type: FAT
Phase: Pre-Resize CheckDisk
Error: Out of Memory

Press any key to continue.

The system boots to Windows and RRU continues the install process, asking to restart again. Once the system restarts the reboot message appears again. This continues to happen placing the system into a continuous rebooting loop.

Affected configurations

All ThinkCentre, NetVista, and ThinkPad systems with Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Home, and Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack as the operating system; configured with an RRU product and the NTFS partition has been converted back to Fat32.
