An intermittent Norton Internet Security 2007 v10.1 error message may appear during the initial boot on systems running Windows Vista - 3000 C200 / ThinkPad T60, T60p
Symptom
Norton Internet Security may display an error message stating that "Auto-protect experienced an unexpected error" during the initial boot of 3000 C200 and ThinkPad T60, T60p systems running Microsoft Windows Vista.

Affected configurations
This symptom may affect the following systems running Windows Vista with Norton Internet Security 2007 v10.1 installed:
  • 3000 C200
  • ThinkPad T60, T60p

Solution
If this occurs, please click OK from the error message. This error will only occur one time.

Additional Information
This intermittent error message is due to heavy software load during the initial system boot, which can delay the loading of certain Norton Internet Security drivers. After clicking OK, the error message will not appear again.
