Symptom

The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) application fails to install from the /ibmtools/apps/ibm_jre directory when the available hard drive space is between 29,360MB and 29,397MB.

Affected configurations

Any of the following systems running Microsoft Windows XP Home or Professional configured with the JRE application:

ThinkCentre A51 (type 8424, 8425)
ThinkCentre A51p (type 8420, 8421, 8422, 8423, 8427)
ThinkCentre M51 (8141, 8142, 8143, 8144, 8145, 8146)
ThinkCentre S51 (type 8171, 8172, 8173)

Solution

Increase the hard drive free space greater than 29,397MB or reduce it below 29,360MB.
