Symptom

The screen mode fails to change back to the clone mode after disconnecting the CRT and DVI monitors and then reconnecting them.

Affected configurations

All of the following systems running Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP, configured with a DDC monitor and the 128MB ATI X600 Pro PCI-e video adapter:

ThinkCentre A51 (type 8122, 8123, 8124, 8129, 8131, 8132, 8133, 8134, 8135, 8136, 8137, 8138, 8424, 8425, 9212)
ThinkCentre A51p (type 8420, 8421, 8422, 8423, 8427)
ThinkCentre M51 (type 8141, 8142, 8143, 8144, 8145, 8146)

Solution

None. Hardware should not be replaced for this issue.

Limitation:
This is a limitation of the ATI X600 Pro. Hot-plugging is not supported with this Hardware.
