Audio over Displayport is not functional on Lenovo L2251p monitor - ThinkStation E20
Symptom

In Windows 7, the ThinkVision L2251p is not seen as an audio device when connected via Displayport cable.

Affected configurations

Any of the following systems running Microsoft Windows 7 but not limited to the following systems:

  • ThinkStation E20 (all models)

Note: The system's video is the onboard Intel.

Solution

Update the Intel video driver to version 8.15.10.2040 or later.
