Cannot burn BIOS CDs using Roxio Creator Business Edition 10.1
Symptom

Burning Lenovo BIOS CD reports success, but the CD is not bootable and will not flash the system.

Affected configurations

  • ThinkPad W500 (types all)
  • ThinkPad W700 (types all)

- The system is configured with Roxio Creator Business Edition 10.1.

Additional Information:

An error in the Roxio burning engine makes all ISO images created with hard disk emulation fail to burn properly. Only the first few sectors of the data section are recorded.

Solution

Apply the PX Engine 4.14 or higher update.
