Important Intel Chipset series 6 announcement - Updates
Lenovo is establishing a special service program that will assist customers who purchased PCs affected by the Intel series 6 chipset announcement. This special service program provides a proactive, free of charge replacement system board through normal service channels as defined by the system's warranty terms and conditions. If any customer is not satisfied with this offer, please give us a call so that we may better understand your concerns.
Lenovo wants to reassure its customers that it is safe to use their Idea-branded PCs with Intel 6-series chipsets, and that customers data is not threatened by this issue.
Lenovo also wants to reassure its customers that the probability of failure in these Intel system boards is very low, and estimated to be less than five percent over three years, well within industry averages for system board failure rates. As a result, the large majority of Lenovo customers will continue to use their new Lenovo PC with Intel 6 Series chipset with no evidence of failure.
