Audio driver fails to install - Lenovo N100, V100; ThinkPad R60, R60e, T60, T60p, X60, X60s, Z60m, Z60t, Z61m, Z61t
The installation of the High Definition Codec audio driver fails and the audio hardware does not appear in the Control Panel.

Note: This issue will not be seen when using the preloaded operating system, Recovery CD set, or the hard drive service partition. This issue would only be seen when installing a retail operating system or when performing a RIS install.

Affected configuration
The following notebook systems may experience this error:
  • Lenovo N100, V100
  • ThinkPad R60, R60e
  • ThinkPad T60, T60p
  • ThinkPad X60, X60s
  • ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t, Z61m, Z61t

UAA High Definition Audio class driver (Article ID 888111) provided by Microsoft should be installed before installing this package.
