This package provides the display driver for Windows 2000 users. The display driver enables or updates the display function of the following ThinkPad computers:

- ThinkPad 390E, 390X
- ThinkPad i Series 1781
- ThinkPad i Series 1400 Model 2611
- ThinkPad i Series 1500 Model 2611

This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.
Additional information

NOTE : This driver will now automatically extract to your hard disk disk drive. It will only extract under Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Me, Microsoft Windows NT, and Microsoft Windows 2000.

II. Installation instructions
NOTES:

  • For ThinkPad 390X and i Series 1781 users, use the BIOS, version iSB047WW or later.
  • For ThinkPad 390E users, use the BIOS, version 1.48 (R01_C4) or later.
  • For DVD playback, use DVD-Video Player (DVDExpress), version 5.00.00.15.6 or later.
  • (ThinkPad 390E/390X, i Series 1780) For DVD playback, use DVD-Video Player (DVDExpress), version 5.00.00.15.6.
  • (ThinkPad i Series 1400/1500 Model 2611) For DVD playback, use DVD-Video Player (DVDExpress), version 5.00.00.94 or later.
  1. Start Windows 2000 and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
  2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
  3. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
  4. Double-click the Display icon.
  5. Click the Settings tab.
  6. Click the Advanced button.
  7. Click the Adapter tab.
  8. Click the Properties button.
  9. Click the Driver tab.
  10. Click the Update Driver button. The Update Device Driver Wizard starts.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Select Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver, then click Next.
  13. Click the Have Disk button.
  14. Type C:\DRIVERS\W2K\DISPLAY and click OK. Windows 2000 finds NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV.
  15. Select NeoMagic MagicMedia256AV, then click Next.
  16. Click Next. Windows 2000 copies all driver files to your system.
  17. Click Finish.
  18. Click Close to complete installation. Windows 2000 prompts you to restart.
  19. Click Yes to restart Windows 2000.

III. Determining which version is installed

  1. Start Windows 2000.
  2. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click the Display icon.
  4. Select the Settings tab.
  5. Click the Advanced button.
  6. Click the NeoMagic tab.
