This program indicates the state of Scroll Lock in the Microsoft Windows system tray. This function is especially useful for the ThinkPad that does not have a Scroll Lock LED.

This release supports the following systems:

- ThinkPad R50(*3), R50e(*3), R50p(*3), R51(*3), R51e(*3), R52(*3)
- ThinkPad R60(*3), R60e(*3)

- ThinkPad T43(*5), T43p(*3)
- ThinkPad T60(*3), T60p(*3)
- ThinkPad X31(*1), X32(*5)
- ThinkPad X40(*5), X41(*3), X41 Tablet(*6)
- ThinkPad X60(*3), X60s(*3), X60 Tablet(*6)
- ThinkPad Z60t(*3), Z60m(*3), Z61e(*3), Z61m(*3), Z61t(*3)

Notes:
*1: Windows Me is not supported
*2: Only Windows XP is supported
*3: Only Windows 2000 and Windows XP are supported
*4: Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 and Windows XP are supported

Installation instructions
Notes:
  • Software Installer provides install wizard for this package. It is recommended to install and uninstall this package using Software Installer.
  • You must install this package using the ThinkPad Software Installer if you would like to display the version of the installed package later.
  • If you are using Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, or Windows XP, log on with a user ID authorized as an administrator.

Install
How to install this program using Software Installer
  1. Click Start, select Programs, click ThinkPad, and then click ThinkPad Software Installer.
  2. Select Install or upgrade driver(s) or ThinkPad software.
  3. Follow the instruction on the screen.

How to install this program without using Software Installer

  1. Open Windows Explorer by clicking Start, click Programs, and then click Explorer.
  2. Open the directory which this package is extracted.
  3. Select TpScrlk.inf with the right mouse button. A menu will appear.
  4. Select Install... from the menu.

Unattended install
This is for system administrators' use only.
  1. Start Windows, logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract the drivers to the hard drive.
  3. Click Start, then click Run.
  4. Type the following command line.

Rundll32.exe setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection SilentInstall 128 C:\DRIVERS\WIN\KBDLED\TpScrlk.inf

Uninstall
How to uninstall this program using Software Installer
  1. Click Start, select Programs, click ThinkPad, and then click ThinkPad Software Installer.
  2. Select Uninstall currently installed driver or ThinkPad software.
  3. Follow the instruction on the screen.

How to uninstall this program without using Software Installer

  1. Clicking Start, select Setting, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Select Scroll Lock Indicator Utility and click the Add/Remove... button.
  4. Follow the instruction on the screen.

Determining what version is installed
  1. Click Start, select Programs, click ThinkPad, and then click ThinkPad Software Installer.
  2. Select View driver or application version information.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
