The USB Serial Parallel Adapter (22P5298) enables you to connect one serial device and one parallel printer via your ThinkPad system's USB port. It does not require an additional power source. The adapter is lightweight and comes in ThinkPad black.

  • Serial input devices such as serial mice and serial keyboard are not supported due to a limitation in their functionality through the USB interface.
• Printer devices
  • Some printers may not be designed to function properly with the USB Adapter. Refer to the list of supported and non-supported printers.
  • Printers that have both a built-in parallel port and USB port may not function properly. It is suggested that the USB port of the printer be used to directly connect to the computer.
