Notes: - Before installing Presentation Director, it is required to install "Lenovo System Interface Driver" and an appropriate display driver for the target system. Refer to the README file of each software package for installing these software packages.
- To enable Fn+F7 on-screen key function, it is also required to install the following packages:
- Presentation Director doesn't support remote desktop environment and remote assistance environment.
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.
- Start Windows Vista, XP, 2000 and logon with administrative privileges.
- Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
The default location is C:\DRIVERS\W2K\PDIRECT - [Windows Vista]
Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories then click Run.... [Windows XP and 2000] Click Start, then click Run.... - Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 2, and click OK.
EXAMPLE: C:\DRIVERS\W2K\PDIRECT\SETUP.EXE - Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: This is for system administrators' use only. - Refer to the "Manual Install" section, and download and expand the files.
- At the command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the -S -SMS options.
For example: C:\DRIVERS\W2K\PDIRECT\SETUP.EXE -S -SMS
[Windows Vista] - Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.
- Click Start, then click Control Panel.
- Click Uninstall a program link of Programs icon. You will see "Uninstall or change a program window".
- Click Presentation Director, then click Uninstall/Change.
- Click Continue from the User Account Control.
- Follow the instructions on the screen and then reboot the computer.
[Windows XP/2000] - Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.

Click Start, then click Control Panel. [Windows 2000] Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel. - Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- Click Presentation Director, then click Change/Remove (or Add/Remove).
- Select Remove or OK, then click Next or OK.
- Follow the instructions on the screen and then reboot the computer.
[Windows Vista] - Click Start, then click Control Panel.
- Click Uninstall a program link of Programs icon. You will see "Uninstall or change a program window".
- Select Presentation Director.
- From the Organize menu, click Layout, then select Details Pane ("Details Pane" might be already selected). You will see the version information on the pane below.
- Close the "Uninstall or change a program window".

Click Start, then click Control Panel. [Windows 2000] Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel. - Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- Click Presentation Director, then click Change/Remove (or Add/Remove).

- Close Add/Remove Programs.
