- The separate key lock, on the side of the ThinkPad Advanced Dock, secures the ThinkPad to the ThinkPad Advanced Dock.
- To remove the ThinkPad, from the ThinkPad Advanced Dock, the user turns the seperate key. The user does not need to remove the cable lock from the ThinkPad Advanced Dock
- Integrated power supply - Recharges the ThinkPad system battery while fueling all functions of the ThinkPad Advanced Dock

- Ultrabay Enhanced second ThinkPad hard drive requires an Hard disk drive (HDD) installation kit.
- The DVI-D (digital) video port does not support attachment of a DVI-I to VGA monitor cable.
