Symptom
During a restore to a hard disk drive greater than 32GB, a FAT32 partition will be converted to NTFS. The Microsoft Installer may delete the install package too soon, and the product will not be removed.

Affected configuration
IBM systems supported by IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore, running Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP, configured with IBM Rapid Restore Ultra

Solution
Run IBM Rapid Restore Ultra 4.0 and use Rescue Files and Folders to restore the c:\Windows\installer folder. Then run uninstall again.
