Symptom

Intel Indeo AVI V3.x, V4, and V5.x movies cannot be played back normally by Windows Media Player 11 and WinDVD.

Affected configurations

Any notebook system running Microsoft Windows Vista.

Solution

You can go to Intel website to download the Vista plug-ins for Indeo AVI movies.

Additional information

Windows Vista does not include the codec for Intel Indeo AVI movies by default.
