Symptom

System may hang on Intel Network test when running multiple passes of the PC Doctor diagnostic.

Affected configurations

The ThinkCentre systems listed below:

  • ThinkCentre A51 (type 8424, 8425)
  • ThinkCentre A51p (type 8420, 8421, 8422, 8423, 8427)
  • ThinkCentre M51 (type 8141, 8142, 8143, 8144, 8145, 8146)
  • ThinkCentre S51 (type 8171, 8172, 8173)
Additional information:
  1. Start PC-Doctor
  2. Select Normal Test
  3. Select Count Cycle=0
  4. Select Halt On Error=Enable
  5. Insert Testing diskette and Testing CD
  6. Select F5 to run all test items
  7. System may hang after several passes of testing
Solution

No hardware should be replaced for this issue. Disable Intel Network test before running multiple passes of the PC Doctor diagnostic.
