Affected configuration

Any ThinkPad systems running Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP with a new level of Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network miniPCI adapter hardware may experience this symptom.

Solution

Download and install the latest Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection driver version 9.0.2.31 or later.

Additional information

If you have driver version 8.x installed in your system, you will need to update your wireless adapter driver to version 9.0.2.31 or later to support the new RoHS compliant adapter card.
