IBM Rescue and Recovery™ with Rapid Restore™ - Failed to connect when configuring to network backup destination

Symptom
When configuring to backup data to the network (network path, user id, password) it may time out and cause an error while connecting to the network. Subsequent attempts will be successful.

Affected configuration
IBM systems supported by IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore, running Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP, configured with IBM Rapid Restore Ultra

Solution
If this occurs, retry. If the problems continues, verify the network path, user id and password was entered correctly.
