System may be slow to boot Windows Vista 64-bit with Norton Internet Security 2007 v10.2 installed - ThinkPad X61, X61 Tablet
Symptom
Users may experience increased boot times if Norton Internet Security 2007 v10.2 is installed on systems running the Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit operating system with 1GB of total system memory. The system may take as long as three minutes to complete the loading of icons in the system tray.

This symptom may affect the following ThinkPad systems running Windows Vista 64-bit with Norton Internet Security 2007 v10.2 installed:
  • ThinkPad X61, X61 Tablet

Solution
To increase system performance, add additional system memory. Alternatively, Norton Internet Security 2007 v10.2 can also be uninstalled.
