Symptom
After completing a quick format on a DVDRW, the total capacity of the DVDRW may be reduced.

Affected configurations
Any ThinkPad or 3000 Family notebook running Microsoft Windows Vista.

Solution
It is recommended to use a complete format as opposed to a quick format.

Additional information
This is a limitation of Windows Vista.
