Lenovo USB 2.0 Super Multi-Burner Drive with Lightscribe - Error message occurs in WinDVD Creator (Version 3.0) after burning movie to a DVD-RAM disc

Symptom

Upon successful completion of movie burning on a DVD-RAM disc using WinDVD Creator software (version 3.0) with USB 2.0 Multi-Burner drive; an error message "Can not complete burning process" will pop-up.

This error message occurs for both PAL movie and NTSL movie.

Affected configurations

Any of the following systems running Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista and installed with WinDVD Creator version 3:

ThinkPad R61: 7751-11C
ThinkPad T60p: 2007-PSC
ThinkPad T61: Type 8889
ThinkPad X41 Tablet: 1866-6GU
ThinkPad X60S: 1704-G4U

Solution

This error message will not impact the movie burning to the DVD-RAM disc. The supplier is currently working on the issue and a firmware will be released to resolve it. The firmware target release date has yet to be confirmed.

Additional Information

This false error message only occurs after successful movie burning on a DVD-RAM disc.
