1. Turn the machine off.
2. Disconnect the AC adapter.
3. Remove the main battery.

Memory installation movie

To remove the memory:

1. Loosen the two captive screws on the access panel, and lift it off.
2. Release the latches, lift out the DIMM, and place it on the ESD mat or a static-sensitive bag.
