What is International Warranty Services (IWS)?

International Warranty Service (IWS) enables customers who travel with or relocate any IWS-eligible Lenovo product to receive warranty service in any country where their product is sold and serviced. Read more

Do I need to register with IWS?

There is no registration needed for IWS. Once you purchase a Lenovo product, it will automatically be covered under IWS. Please keep in mind, coverage of a specific product is determined by whether that product is sold and serviced within the destination country.

How do I find my machine type?

1. ThinkPad and Value Line notebooks

Located on the bottom of the system:

Machine Type = "2668"

2. Thinkpad Tablet

Locating the Machine type, Model and Serial for the new Thinkpad Tablet.

Inside of the door is the barcode that contains the MTM and Serial Information

3. ThinkCentre, NetVista, Value Line, and other desktops

Machine Type = "8215"

4. Value Line and IdeaPad notebooks

5. Value Line and IdeaCentre Desktops

How do I know my machine is covered under IWS?

For Think-Branded users.
1. Click to the THINKPAD THINKCENTRE tab.
2. Enter your four digits machine type.
3. Click 'search' button.
4. You will find all countries and phone numbers available.

For Idea-Branded users.
1. Go to the IDEAPAD IDEACENTRE tab.
2. Select series from drop down menu.
3. You will find all countries and phone numbers available.
