Notes: - Before installing (updating) this utility, you must uninstall the current utility.
- The following additional packages are required.
- Start Windows 2000/XP and logon with a User ID of Administrator.
- Extract this package onto the hard drive.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\KEYCUSTM\SETUP in the Open box and click OK. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: This is for system administrators' use only. - Start Windows 2000/XP, logon with administrative privileges.
- Extract the drivers to the hard drive.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\KEYCUSTM\SETUP.EXE -S -SMS
Note: System will not reboot automatically.
Note: If ThinkPad Keyboard Customizer Utility is running, close it. Start Windows 2000 and logon with a User ID of Administrator. - Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
- Select ThinkPad Keyboard Customizer Utility.
- Click Change/Remove.
- Restart the system.
- Start Windows XP and logon with a User ID of Administrator.
- For Windows XP with Classic Start menu, click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel. Otherwise, click Start and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon.
- Select ThinkPad Keyboard Customizer Utility.
- Click Change/Remove.
- Restart the system.
- Open ThinkPad Keyboard Customizer Utility.
- Right click the title bar and select Keyboard Customizer Utility information. The version will be displayed.
- Automatically enable and disable key assignments (USB keyboards only) follows Keyboard connection status in Device Manager/Keyboards.
- When you run PC-Doctor for Windows, you need to select Disable key assignment(s).
- Browser keys' sensitivity function is not supported on ThinkPad R30, R31, R32
- If your keyboard does not have right Alt key, your assignment for right Alt key is ignored.
