Presentation Director is a display configuration utility for your ThinkPad computer that enables you to manage and use presentation schemes. You can access these schemes through an on-screen display menu that is shown when you press the Fn + F7 key combination on your keyboard (Note: Some products may use another key for Fn + F7.)
Note: If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.

Important information
Installation using System Update
Intermittently you will see a message of reboot required after the Presentation Director installation using ThinkVantage System Update. You can continue further work without reboot the system.
Requirements
This version of Presentation Director is intended for ThinkPad systems released in 2010 and later. If your ThinkPad was released before 2010, please visit the Lenovo support website and download the appropriate version for your ThinkPad model.
Before installing Presentation Director, it is required to install "Lenovo System Interface Driver" and an appropriate display driver for the target system. Refer to the README file of each software package for installing these software packages.
Display Driver: It is required to install an appropriate display driver for the target system which is provided by Lenovo. Presentation Director doesn't work with any inbox display driver in OS.
To enable Fn+F7 on-screen key function, it is also required to install the following packages:
If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.
Manual Install
This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Explorer.
[Downloading file]
Click once on the underlined file name. Once this is done, some pop-up windows will appear.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save button.
Choose the folder you would like to download the file to and click the Save button. A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully.
[Extracting file]
Make sure to be logged on with administrative account.
Locate the directory where the file was downloaded.
Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click it.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
In the "Select Destination Location" window, click Next. If you would like to select a different folder, click Browse.
In the "Ready to Install" window, click Install. All the necessary files will be extracted to the folder selected in the step 9.

Make sure the checkbox next to "Install ..... now" is checked and click Finish.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation and restart the computer.
Finally delete the file saved in Step 4.
Silent Install
Note: This is intended for system administrators only.
Refer to the "Manual Install" section, and download and extract the file.
In step 11 of the "Installing files" section, uncheck the checkbox next to "Install ..... now", and then click Finish to cancel installation.
At the command line, execute setup.exe with the -S -SMS options. Example: [Path where the files were extracted]\setup -S -SMS

Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Make sure Control Panel Home is selected, and click Uninstall a program.
Click Presentation Director, then click Uninstall/Change.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete uninstallation and restart the computer.
[Windows XP]
Make sure to be logged on with administrative account.
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Select Add/Remove Programs.
Click Presentation Director, then click Remove or Change/Remove.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete uninstallation and restart the computer.
Determining which version is installed
[Windows Vista]
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Make sure Control Panel Home is selected, and click Uninstall a program.
Click Organize, select Layout, then select Details Pane. The Details Pane will be shown at the bottom of screen.
Select Presentation Director.
Check the product version in the Details Pane.
[Windows XP]
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Select Add/Remove Programs.
Click Presentation Director, then click "Click here for support information".
