The following files are the driver and readme file for the VIA IDE Bus Master for the IBM PC300GL, type 6563, 6564, 6574, 6593, IBM PC300PL, type 6565, 6566 and Aptiva type 2178 and 2198 systems. These drivers are for the Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0 operating systems.

This driver corrects problems with CD-RW installed in these systems and running Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT operating systems.
Additional information
Downloading the update

1.Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2.When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.

 

Installing the update

1.Click Start, then Find, and then click Files or Folders.
2.Type ql6z17us.exe in the search box, then click Find Now. This will locate the ql6z17us.exe file you just downloaded.
3.Double-click the ql6z17us.exe icon. The directory should remain C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\QL6Z17US.
4.Click Next.
5.Click I Agree.
6.Click Finish.
7.Click Yes.
8.Click OK. The setup program will run. Follow all onscreen prompts and reboot when done.
