IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore - Backup is running, but the progress bar is not advancing
When the IBM Rapid Restore Ultra backup is running, the progress bar is not advancing. This could be due to:
- A large number of files on the hard disk drive. The backup algorithm scans through file information before starting to backup data. This will take more time if there are a large number of files.
- A password has been assigned to the backup.
IBM systems supported by IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore, running Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP, configured with IBM Rapid Restore Ultra.

The IBM Rapid Restore Ultra application can be closed and reopened. This does not interrupt the backup process, but will update the progress bar display information.
