ThinkServer(TM) EasyUpdate Firmware Updater (hereinafter referred to as Firmware Updater) is a software application that enables you to maintain your system firmware up to date and helps you avoid unnecessary outages. Firmware Updater updates the server firmware in two steps, by updating system and adapter firmware and updating hard disk drive (HDD) firmware.

Update your system in the following order:

1. Download ThinkServer firmware update media ISO file from Lenovo's web site.
2. Burns the ISO image to CD or DVD.
3. Place the media in the server's CD/DVD drive, and boots the server to it.
4. DOS boots, and the master application automatically starts. Hardware detection runs, and a list of applicable firmware updates is displayed.
5. Select the firmware updates to be installed.

Before the firmware update, make sure that your server can successfully restart without encountering hardware problems.

• Do not support certain USB CD/DVD drive
• The server can not start the master application in media sometimes when customer uses some USB CD/DVD drive. Please uses the CD/DVD drive which in the server.
