Symptom
The message "Unsafe removal of device" will briefly pop up when the 64MB memory key is write-protected. The error message may not be visible to the user since no intervention is necessary. This error also occurs with the 256MB USB memory key.

Affected configuration
This symptom may occur on the following ThinkPad systems running Microsoft Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows 2000 with either a 64MB or 256MB memory key:

• ThinkPad T40

Solution
This is a permanent limitation.
