Any of the following systems with an installed version of 2.1.10.0 or older of the IBM 802.11ab, IBM 802.11bg and IBM 802.11abg Wireless LAN Mini PCI adapter software and running Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP:

ThinkPad G40, G41
ThinkPad R40, R50, R50e, R50p, R51, R52
ThinkPad T40, T40p, T41, T41p, T42, T42p, T43, T43p
ThinkPad X31, X40

Solution

Update the to version 4.0.100.140 or later.

For G40, R40, T40, T40p, T41, T41p, T42, T42p, X31:
IBM 802.11ab and IBM 802.11abg Wireless LAN Mini PCI adapter software for Windows 2000 and XP

For G41, R50, R50e, R50p, R51, R52, T43, T43p, X40:
IBM 802.11bg and IBM 802.11abg Wireless LAN Mini PCI adapter software for Windows 2000 and XP
