Turn off the computer, or enter hibernation mode. NOTE: If you are using a PC Card, the computer might not be able to enter hibernation mode. If this happens, turn off the computer.
Then disconnect the AC adapter and all cables from the computer.
Loosen the screws on the cover of the Mini-PCI Card slot (1); then remove the cover (2).
Press out on the latches (1) on both edges of the socket at the same time, until the card moves up (2).
Remove the card (1); remove the antennas from the main and auxiliary connectors on the card (2).
Installing the mini PCI card
Connect the antenna cable with "Aux" tag to the auxiliary connector (with the black indicator in this picture) (1); connect the antenna cable with "Main" tag to the main connector (with the white indicator in this picture) (2). Align the contact edge of the Mini-PCI Card with the corresponding socket contact of the computer (3).
Pivot the card until you can snap it into place by pressing the upper side of the connectors. NOTE: Make sure that the card is firmly fixed in the slot and does not move easily.
Align the tabs of the Mini-PCI Card slot cover with the corresponding slots; then press the cover flat.
Tighten the screws of the cover. NOTE: After you replace a Mini-PCI Card, do not use your computer until you have closed the cover. Never use the computer with the cover open.
