To use the device supported by this package, the following software should be installed as well as this package.

[Windows 7]

• ThinkVantage Access Connections for Windows 7 version 5.40 or higher
• Lenovo System Interface Driver for Windows 7/Vista (Needed for Windows Vista) version 1.01.0907 or higher
• ThinkPad Power Management Driver for Windows 98 SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista/7 version 1.55 or higher
• Hotkey Features for Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000 version 2.22.0000 or higher

[Windows Vista/XP/2000]

• ThinkVantage Access Connections version 4.40 or higher
• Lenovo System Interface Driver for Windows Vista (Needed for Windows Vista) version 1.00.0702 or higher
• ThinkPad Power Management Driver for Windows 98 SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista version 1.42 or higher
• Hotkey Features for Windows Vista/XP/2000 version 2.01.0706 or higher

Note:

• There are pre-requisites before installing this software. Click here for the list of pre-requisites.
• If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.

This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.

[Downloading file]

1. Click once on the underlined file name. Once this is done, some pop-up windows will appear.
2. Follow the instructions on the screen.
3. In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save button.
4. Choose the folder you would like to download the file to and click the Save button. A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully.

[Extracting file]

1. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.
2. Locate the folder where the file was downloaded.
3. Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click it.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

[Installing files]

1. [Windows 7/Vista] Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, then click Run...
2. [Windows XP/2000] Click Start, then click Run...
3. Specify msiexec.exe /i MC87xx.msi with the full path name of the location where files were extracted and click OK. Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WWANUMTS\msiexec.exe /i MC87xx.msi
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation and restart the computer.

Finally delete the file saved in Downloading File Step 4.

[Windows 7]

1. Start Windows 7.
2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
3. Make sure View by Category is selected, and click Uninstall a program.
4. Select Organize, select Layout, then select Details Pane.
5. Click Sierra Wireless HSDPA MiniCard.
6. Check the product version in the Details Pane (at the bottom of screen).

[Windows Vista]

1. Start Windows Vista.
2. Click Start, then click Control Panel
3. Click Programs and Features.
4. Click Sierra Wireless HSDPA MiniCard.
5. Click Organize in the upper left corner of the window.
6. Click Layout, then click the Details Pane. The driver version will be displayed at the bottom of the details screen.

[Windows XP]

1. Start Windows XP.
2. Click Start, then right-click My Computer.
3. Click Properties.
4. Click the Hardware tab.
5. Click Device Manager.
6. Expand the Modems category.
7. Double-click Sierra Wireless HSDPA MiniCard.
8. Click the Driver tab. The driver version will be displayed.
